Foundation Queen

DerryDowns Caiomhe of Haya-Ji
Seal Silver Lynx Tortie Point Oriental Longhair Spay

DOB:12/10/1999, DOD: 7/4/04

Caiomhe (pronounced like Kiwi) passed away on July 4, 2004 of a disease called amyloidosis. Unfortunately, this disease is not uncommon in the Siamese, Balinese, Javanese and Oriental populations. She had been with a very loving pet home for almost three years, but she was still my first love. I fell in love with her as a kitten and love her still, and hope that she is waiting for me over the Rainbow Bridge.

A beautiful poem written for her by one of her kids, Christina...

A Delicate Beauty

Flowers, how dare you continue your perennial bloom!
Trees, what provocation bid you to reach forth the sky on this day!
End this derision now!
For a beauty has been summoned
Summoned to rest in mortality's dulcet caress

Redwood, follow the lead of the weeping willow
And cry for the loss of a divine queen
Stars, sparkle your most palatial twinkle
And birds, sing your most sweet elegy

Tis time for this oh so delicate creature to be laid to rest
And welcome the Angels bittersweet arrival

Come sweet Earth, let us bid her farewell
For on this momentous day,
Life has suffered a great loss
The death of a delicate beauty

-Christina, Age 16

Words from her loving owners:
"That’s our puppy Buster. He loved playing with her and she with him as you can see they hung out together. When he’d get a little too bothersome to her she’d raise her paw and hiss like a mom and he’d back down. :-) "

Caiomhe was always happiest when being held and cuddled. She loved her boys very much!

Caiomhe being adored like a queen, as she should be of course! :-)
